Why do I often get an e-mail that says "this message has no content" on my iPad?

At least once a day I get an e-mail (usually from someone I know) and when I open it, it says "message has no content".

Occasionally the mail app and server can get confused...when it happens to me, pulling down on the mailbox list to force a refresh pulls in the text that seemed to be missing... It usually happens on graphicly heavy html email for me...
