Why can't I erase all info from my iPhone 5c

I

iMore Question

I want to erase all content and settings from my phone but every time I try to override the four digit code it crashes my I tunes or says it's going to take over twenty four hours. Please tell me there is an easier way. I would be fine with just jail breaking the phone if that would be easier

What, exactly, are you trying to do? Why are you trying to overide the passcode? Is it your phone?

If enabled in the settings, the iPhone will automatically erase all contents and settings if you enter the lock screen passcode incorrectly a certain number of times. Having said that, if the device is protected via the iCloud activation lock or the Apple Configurator, resetting it will not do you any good because you are still going to need to enter the correct credentials in order to be able to use it.
