How do I wipe clean my phone for trade?

I reset all settings fine but all my apps and photos remain. I went to the reset all content and settings. Asked for a password then got a verification failed message. Is there another way to wipe the phone clean?

You could go to https://icloud.com/, then to Find iPhone. Then click on All Devices at the top and select the device you want to erase.
Then, it should give you an option to erase your device.
Of course, be careful, because a mistake will result in the wrong device getting erased.

Also, once the erasing is done, you will need to remove the device from the account by selecting it again and choosing Remove from Account, otherwise it will be locked to your account.

Turns out it was likely cause I erased settings so it disconnected Wi-Fi which it needed to load everything to the cloud. It’s backing things up again then hopefully I can clear phone to send in.
