cant hear music through docking station

hi my daughters iopd plays music great through headphones or just on its own but when ahe puts it in her dockingstation she cant heat it .the dockingstation plays my other daughters ipod no probs just not my youngest ones? any help please

FYI, this is an iPhone 4 help forum.
So this might be moved to the proper forum.

My guess would be that since other ipod devices work on the docking station, that the one that doesnt work might have something blocking the pins from making contact.

Take the ipod and try to clean the contacts on the bottom data port.
Use an old toothbrush and some isopropyl Alcohol 99.9%.

Same thing happened to my son's iPod touch last week. Apple store replaced it after it failed on their dock too.
