Guys I really do need some help please

So i tried syncing my iPhone with my dads iMac and then I unsynced them , I noticed that I lost about a 1000 pics but I can't seem to find anywhere on my dads computer, could they just vanish because my phone was extremely laggy when I did or could it be that they're still on my dads computer , I'm afraid he will see the pics , so guys please help me .
