Sync problems between iPhone and Outlook (MS Exchange)

Hi all, I have a problem with my iPhone. I have an MS Exchange e-mail account setup on it and whenever I get an e-mail it goes on both the phone and Outlook however when I delete something from Outlook it does not do the same on the iPhone. On the other hand if I delete something on the iPhone it does reflect on Outlook without problems. So its not that there is no sync, the problem seems to be one side only....

Any ideas?

Is the service controlled by your IT department?

At our company, we could what happens during the sync so you may want to check with them.
