Why can't I delete a language?

When I go to settings, my only "iPhone Language" is English (U.S.), but when I tap the globe on the keyboard, I have "Nederlands" as an option. Any suggestions as to why or how I can delete it?

Open the Settings app. Tap General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Then tap Edit in the upper right corner. Then tap the red dot next to the language keyboard.
