Can anybody tell me why, when I swipe down from the top of the screen, a notification turns up telling me that Apple music is not playing (whatever track I played last ?) As far as I am aware all notifications are set to off ?

Just hard reset, notification gone, but why notification ?

How often do you turn off (wait around a minute) and then turn back on your phone? I’d recommend at least once a week. If not unexpected things might start happening or possibly not functioning properly. That’s been my experience at least.

It's not really a notification, but a live activity widget.
As far as I can observe, force quitting all the music players (e.g.: Music, Podcasts, Overcast, Spotify, etc.) should make this widget go away.

Exactly what I was thinking. I get this also.
