Updating

Hi! =)

When I got my 5S, it was on iOS 7. But 8 was out for a while by then so I updated to 8.4 right away.
So my question is: Would it be safe to update to iOS 9 as soon as it get released or it would be better to wait like until 9.1?

Yes, it will be 'safe' to upgrade when iOS 9 gets officially released.

I have a question about a possible feature in iOS 9. I read somewhere I can't remember where, that iOS 9 on the existing iPhone 6 devices will show an update to the stock text messaging app. I read that when you view your conversations, the contact pictures will show like they do on the iPhone 6 Plus devices. Just wondering if this is true? I would love that feature! Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Thanks!

I'm on beta 9.3 and yes I have contact pictures in messages app overview. Didn't actually notice this difference until you asked about it

No my iOS 8.4 update on the regular iPhone 6 didn't make that update to show the contact pics in text messages. Thanks for everyone's response!

I'm on 8.4.1. Don't have it. But there was someone here who uses the 6 and is on 9. They said the profile pics show on the thread list menu, but not on the text field. You might try for more 6 user reviews.
