my iphone5 screen keeps enlarging to the point of not being to shutdown or reset how can I fix this

sometimes when the screen enlarges you can get to the power down button and shutting off will resume normal screen image but this time when I finally was able to power down it wouldnt

Why is the "screen" enlarging? Are you referring to the "image" on the screen? If so, do you have Zoom enabled? If so, double tap on the screen with 3 fingers and then disable it.
