iPhone Auto Sync on iTunes

Sounds stupid, but why after running restore from iTunes(not backing up current settings) Why does iTunes automatically sync my iPhone to that PC. I don't want my iPhone sycned...

Anyone know how to prevent this or stop this?

There is a option in iTunes to disable syncing when the iPhone is connected. Just uncheck that.

did that it still syncs my iphone (2.2.1). Have done everything I can and it still auto syncs at end of restore iphone process
