iPhone 7 Home Button

I replaced a cracked home button on iPhone 7 but now the phone screen is not powering on. Black screen. I know the button won’t work but I didn’t want to keep a cracked one. Any ideas? Thanks!

The home button doubles as a security feature so unfortunately you can’t just change it out that easily. It has to be done by an Apple certified tech

Not sure but the device thinks it’s been tampered with

Unfortunately you only have four options:

1. Repair it yourself, deal with anything you may miss or break in the process
2. Take it to a certified repair facility or Apple for repair (costly, but will be done right)
3. If you're due for an upgrade, now would be a good time
4. Do nothing and enjoy the new Apple paper weight
