iphone 3g help please

today i was reseting my iphone 3g jailbroken on 3.1.2 firmware. well everything was going fine till it was taking too long. i mean tooo long as in 2 and a half hours which is a lot. so i was looking around on forums to forums to fix this problem.

this is what i did Setting>General>Reset>erase everything

so i turned it off and then i turned it on it still continues with the apple logo with a circle loading screen on it.

i tried to sync it with itunes but no luck

so what can i do to resolve this problem?

Try putting it in recovery mode and restore as new.

Looks like restoring is the only option. Be careful to use the proper firmware version so that you can jailbreak it again
