i am unable to transfer in iTunes

so my iPhone 6 has is asked up to my macbook, all i need to do is plug in my new 6plus and transfer all the data, emails, and applications?? it wont even recognise my plus. i have installed the latest iTunes versions on all my devices?

Make sure the lightening cable you're using isn't damaged. Does your Mac recognize your 6?
