Cannot sync music into iphone

I cant seem to sync my music into my iphone, on the itunes it says that the syncing has been completed, but when i check my iphone there are no songs

Create a playlist on itunes click and drag music into playlist go to devices and find iPhone then go to music and select a playlist that you put music in
