Almost a month later and I’m at 93%. At this rate I will definitely have to get a battery replacement before I hit 2 years. I have AppleCare+, so it don’t bother me until my device stop lasting me all day at work.

I've had my 12 Pro since launch and I have no complaints with my Battery Health.

That’s definitely frustrating! Have you considered taking it to the Genius Bar?

Yep. I went to my local Apple Store last week and asked for a battery replacement on me. They diagnosed the phone and suggested all kinds of hacks to make the battery last longer like turning off Background App Refresh and running Low Power Mode all the time.

He also told me they didn’t even have any 12 PM batteries since the phone is a new model.

Overall I was very disappointed with the service I received.

I’ve decided to just quit worrying about it and get a 13 or 12s when they are available in Sept or Oct.

I don't blame you for being disappointed. :crying:

How do they not even have any batteries ? That makes no sense to me.

Frankly I don't blame you for just upgrading in the fall.

I know! I was willing to pay for the battery replacement but they didn’t have any batteries at the store.

I did find some on eBay but decided to just live with it until next month. The 12s or 13 should be available in about a month.

I always work around chargers at my workplace so to me battery health is just a number . I generally give my phones a few years.

I got my 12 Pro in Feb(?) of this year I believe and I’m still at 100% battery health. I also have optimized charging on…whether that helps or not, idk

From what I read the health drops 1% on every 25 cycles. This keeps things in line with 80% at 500 cycles and below 80% they recommend service. I'm at 91% on my 12 Pro Max now. Just going to ignore it from now on!

I have an M1 Macbook Pro that has 25 cycles, 100% health and the battery status shows it's going on 11 years old. Which is bogus as it was made in March 2021 NOT March 2011. Someone had a keyboard flub at time of manufacture! :D

I don’t believe what “Battery Health” is telling me at all ! The battery percentage on my XS tumbled downhill till just before my Apple Care+ had nearly run out, and then stuck at 83 %, in the year since then it has dropped to 82%, Funny when it stuck isn’t it ?

I’m beginning to think my Battery Health just isn’t accurate. I’ve treated this battery better than any iPhone battery I’ve ever owned. I don’t top it off and I don’t let it drop below 60%. I keep it between 60 and 80 all the time. I never leave it on a charger over night. It still keeps on dropping.

make sure you use it to 0% and then charge it to 100% - called full circle, it might help

iPhone 12 mini is a dog when it comes to battery health over 12 months. Shame because it’s such a great size. Hopefully the 13 mini battery health is more robust.
