I have the latest ios update. Since then my battery life has gone down greatly. I have a feeling it may have something to do with facebook but not sure. Anyone have any ideas? Some times when I plug it in it will jump 20-30% immediately?

there have been complaints about battery life after ios updates. this is common. i would take it to your carrier or apple store to see if they can help you out.

Pretty common to ask about IOS battery life but anytime you are running apps that are constantly running giveing Push updates be it FB or Twitter or any other app, Push email being checked frequently you are going to get a noticeable battery drain so you have to pick and choose your battles as to what is going to work for you.

I had problems with ios 6.1.1 and .2. However since updating to 6.1.3 all my problems seems to have been solved. I made a lot of changes though, including, using iCloud mail but without push, disabling some location services, turned off auto brightness and I monitor what apps i have open. That said, i don't which is responsible for restoring my battery life but my 4s is as good as new. I use it extensively and I charge only at night when I go to bed.

My battery life on 6.1.3 has been ok. Anytime you have apps running in the background or being pushed its bound to effect battery life of course. Try adjusting the brightness setting. That made a difference for me.

Do you have sources for this? I thought push notifications for apps was so that they didn't have to be running all the time. To CONSERVE battery life, not diminish it. In could b wrong but I'd hate to see someone completely cripple their ios experience "fixing" something which isn't broken.
