We see these battery life claims all the time. I'm on 16.5 beta. But didn't notice any difference in battery life on 16.4. There's a lot that affects battery life. It's difficult to know what it might be after an update. Could just be someone using their phone more than usual. But always blame the OS.

Although I’ve noticed a bit of snappiness with iOS 16.5, battery life appears to be the same as before - very good. My battery health is still at 100%.

To be honest I have never noticed any increase in battery capability after an update ! I’m not saying there never has been, just nothing I have noticed.
