Hey all, my cousin just upgraded his iphone 3 and got the iphone 4. They turned the network off from his iphone 3 and he left me with that one. I used my sim from my old att phone and put it in the iphone 3. Do I still need to jailbreak anything considering they turned the network off? Im able to use wifi but not getting any other internet from it. Thanks.

If it's an UNACTIVE SIM then it doesn't matter as it's not connected to the network. Even if it is live, jailbreaking wont matter either.

I agree with totalimmortal, and wanted to add. If your SIM card is active, then the iPhone will just pick-up AT&T's network settings automatically. Since the phone is already activated, you don't need to "Hack-tivate" it with a jailbreak.
