Changing SMS tones?

Ok so, I have a 3g 16gb iPhone jailbroken. I have downloaded some new sms tones but they arnt there when i try to change it in settings. Am i missing something? The default sms tones are abysmal.

Well. To install SMS tunes it a little more complicated than that. You have to SSH into the iPhones folder structure, find the tones, and delete one and replace it with the new one. Do a quick google and you should find full instructions.

You need to convert the tones to AIFF using a program like Audacity.

Then change the extension to CAS, and rename them properly.

SSH into the phone and copy them over.

use iPhone Folders and you will not have to mess with SSH

i'm changing my tones all the time. get bored too easy i guess
