cant even access messages without it glitching nor can i send/receive messages. A hard reset did not work, so i assumed freeing more space on my storage would do, but i thought wrong. All of my messages have been deleted, but not by me. Additionally, there is no access to my own messages. Help? Or at least any last minute ideas?

My first thought is to sign out and back into iMessages. Settings > Messages> toggle iMessages switch off. If that doesn't work, under Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID at the top and sign out. Then, sign back in. Good luck!

If the above doesn't work, you might try Reset All Settings.
Reset All Settings
Go to Settings >General >Reset >Reset All Settings. This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, and clock settings like wake up alarms.
After that would be to restore as new, not from a back up.
