iPhone 6 keeps freezing up...help!

I downloaded the 9.0.1 update yesterday and my phone froze up 3 times yesterday. Plus once already this morning. Texts and calls still work but it stops refreshing new data. It just sits and spins. Won't refresh new emails, Facebook and apps won't open. A hard reset fixes it temporarily but I can't do hard resets every hour! My phone was working fine before the update. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do an iTunes backup... Then an iOS restore via iTunes... Set up as a new phone... See if the issues persist... Then restore the backup and see what happens.
