In looking at your examples of how to delete calendar events

I have an issue with deleting calendar events. My problem is there is no "edit" on the upper right hand corner. I have some re occurring events that I would like to erase and I can't do it. Can you help?
I have an iphone 5s and ios 8.1

Welcome to iMore! Any event I created myself, I can delete. The edit button is there.
If it's an Event from a shared calendar, you might not have access to edit or delete it. Also, you cannot edit or delete Facebook events or holidays, though you can hide them in your subscribe Calendars.

Get to the list in calendar. List is the red box with 3 white lines in it on top of page. Tap on what you want to delete and the event details will come up. You will see Delete Event on the bottom. tap that.
