How can I get my Hotmail sent box to sun to my Mac?

I'm new to the Mac world and have a hotmail account on my redundant Windows machine. I've got Inbox ok on the Mac but can't sync my Sent box. I believe I have to do it with MobileMe but when I try to use it from System Preferences I get the sign on box asking for the Member name and password. It won't accept my AppID name and password but I can't find any options to try.
Any help please?

Your MobileMe/iCloud name and password is different than your iTunes name and password. I believe they can be similar.

Delete the Hotmail account from your Mac and then set it up again. You do not need MobileMe.
