Why is iTunes repeatedly asking me to sign in?

As the title says: my iPhone/iPad are both prompting me to sign into iTunes. I do and next time I unlock either I get the same prompt. What am I missing here?

Something like this happened to me once. Found the answer here. KCH50428's answer helped me.
Settings
iTunes - tap your apple ID - select "Log Out"
Reboot the phone, then go back to where you were and Log in again

I thought it was something I did, since recently I set up two-step verification on my phone and thought I screwed up somewhere. Did as the post above suggested, so hopefully it fixes it. Glad it wasn't just me heh.
