iPhone Insurance

Has anyone purchased third party insurance for lost, stolen, or damaged iPhones? If so, what company? AT&T or Apples does not offer insurance and I would like to cover my phone for these area. Thanks. Gecko

Contact your homeowner's or renter's insurance company and pretty much all of them will offer a "floater" or "rider" policy for specific items outside of your house being damaged or destroyed.

My iPhone is covered by Statefarm (my homeowner's insurance company) under a floater policy. If it gets lost, stolen, or broken in some way they will cut me a check to just buy a new one. Make sure you get it insured for the non-upgrade price of what ever model you have.

Edit - Oh yea, the cost is $25/year for mine.

Unless your sleeping with someone, state farm will not cover an iPhone, that is there corporate policy.

i talked to them an hour ago, $30 a year for 1 or $35 a year for me and the girls iphones when we get them... no deductable.

FYI my state farm agent said they will insure ANY phone.

doesnt work here... It's part of my home insurance, but i cant get one for the iphone only

I'm not worried about that. Dropping it and possibly killing that screen are what I am afraid of.
