Red notification at the top?

Hi all, it’s killing me and I cannot figure out wtf this red notification is at the top of my Apple Watch. No I am not referring to the red dot but what looks like a tiny red graph of sorts.

Any ideas?

Not just music... that comes up for any audio playing.

Did you use the beta? This is new to watchOS 5, so it's only been around for less than a month.

Seconded that I really these shortcuts, but I don't care if there is an option to disable them for people who don't like them.

Not just music... that comes up for any audio playing.

That makes sense because I’m constantly playing other podcasts or music so it’s a constant

Yes I was on the beta since it came out which explains why I was googling and could not for the life of me find out what this meant

Right, that's what's great about it. I used to keep "Now Playing" in the dock, now I can remove it and out another app there instead.

I just posted here saying that I liked how that icon took you faster to the app it referred to.
I thought you got that from me.

It sure is a neat feature.

Sometimes the red music icon gets stuck on my Nike Series 4. It’s there when nothing is playing. Power off and back on fixes it.
