I shattered my AT&T iPhone 5 a few days ago. I filed my claim on asurion for a new phone. Will I receive another iPhone 5, 5s, or 5C? It tells me they will be sending me another iPhone 5 but I thought they discontinued those? Thanks for the help!

After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
You will most likely get a replacement 5. There are plenty out there in stock being used for refurbs. Apple is still taking them in on trades too.

It's difficult to know but I would call them and talk them into giving you a 5s which would be the decent thing to do
