Why does the keyboard not display when trying to search phone contact on my iPhone 6?

I looked at other apps on my phone and there is no problem accessing the keyboard. I am sure this is an easy fix,I hope. Please help.

It might be something as simple as resetting your device....want to give it a go?

If you are searching on your Contacts list, you won't have the keyboard. Only when you are filling in contact information will you get the keyboard.
