Why did the predictive feature on my iPhone 5 go away from the texting page?

why did the predictive feature on my i phone 5 go away from the texting page?

Until yesterday, when i'd write a text, when i started a word, other words would pop up that it could be, or some that may go with it would come up. Now, that feature is gone. I've checked all of the settings and can't find a way to get it back. ALSO would like to know why it went away to begin with?

I don't know, but all you have to do is swipe up from the top of the keyboard to have it display again.
