Why did my Yahoo mail quit coming to my iPhone 5?

I upgraded to 9.0 and then 9.0.1 half hour later. Ever since, no work email has come in and I lost all emails that have arrived since 9/15/15. 10 days of emails gone from phone but still on my server and computer. I have checked settings and all seems in order. I am deleting the account and adding again to see if I get results. But my question is WHY GOD WHY? Have I been bad?

Check Yahoo's web help site for correct settings to make sure their device will work with their systems.
