Unlocking in India - iphone3G

Hello friends
I belong to Chandigarh, India. I have bought an iphone 3G from Canada. I want to know how to unlock the same here and which softwares have to be used. I will put the Airtel carrier sim in it.
Please help me out.

i unlocked iphone with special sim adaptor called rebel simcard.

it works fine. use rebel simcard to unlock your iphone.
