Usually when a screenshot is 'Quoted' as an answer to it in a thread. Any commentary is fine but the screenshot image shows broken, even if the original had been OK. This happens in Native iMore as well but not 'always'..

That's normal. The iMore forums app just shows a link, rather than a broken image. Most likely done that way to save space. Images take up a bit of mb space. It's why the iMore forums app limits the resolution size of images. If it's too big, it gets cut down. The TapaTalk app, with VIP, doesn't cut the resolution down. When I try to post a 1284x2778 12 Pro Max wallpaper on the iMore forums app, it gets cut down to 946x2048.

That covers 'that specific situation' ( the quote) but I have found several of my initial posts on Tapatalk would 'break'. Better now on the new phone, but still frustrating. A day or so ago I had that happen on Tapatalk, I went to my post on Native, edited it to delete the attachment, re-attached it, and 'voila' good to go. That's what actually prompted me to use Native for a bit.

Seems better using the picture icon, rather than the paper clip in TapaTalk.

Paper Clip vs Picture icon? - could a few frequent posters also supply feedback ie what do you use. We 'may' be getting to the bottom of this . Personally I've been using the paperclip but will try the 'picture' and go back to Tapatalk for a while.

Yes we had this debate a few years ago. It seems that the paperclip gives broken images on Tapatalk so everyone started using the picture icon.

The paper clip is an "attachment" method. The picture icon is a TapaTalk imaging method. I know attachments posted from a computer or maybe online show as broken. Not sure about the paper clip.

Now that my 'phone-art' is relatively stable I probably won't be attaching much for a while - but will try it as soon as needed.

This is re attachment method not new screenshots of my phone pages as that was covered a while ago on its appropriate thread. These were done using the 'picture icon' in Tapatalk, in lieu of the paperclip. Please report broken links if that happens!!

Ok... testing your theory, I am on the iMore App and used the paper clip to attach a photo (taken a couple of hours ago). Can you see it?
