Sms alert while on a call

Is there any way to disable the alert while on a call? Or can I replace it with a low tone? It actually vibrates on my ear while I'm on a call. So annoying.

You can turn off the sound/vibration, also helps battery life!

I was wondering the same thing. I am so on the cusp of returning this phone to go back to android.

Hopefully, something can be done. I've never seen anything so pointless.
