Questions about moving from an iPhone A1533 to a iPhone 7 Plus

I'm on Verizon and intend to stay there. My old phone is an Apple iPhone A1533. I want to buy a nice, used iPhone 7 Plus off of eBay. What do I need to look for when shopping for the new phone and what must I do to make it work properly?

Just use common sense.
1. Understand that buying from someone you don't know, especially someone you cannot meet is ALWAYS risky.
2. Try to find an iPhone 7 locally in which you can actually meet the seller and check out the device.
3. Buy from someone who has a good reputation on eBay.
4. Since I'm assuming your purchase won't be face to face, ask the seller or verify with the seller that the device is operational, not locked to an iCloud account and not stolen.
5. Buyer beware.

eBay always have a large selection of iPhones so price is one thing but reparable sellers should be your focus. As mentioned above you need to do your homework and check the list off.
