new iPhone X whatsapp problem

hey so today i bought my new iphone x

up until yesterday i had galaxy s8+

and i sold it and bought the iphone x and i have a little issue

i want to transfer all whatsapp chat history to the iphone

i have backup files that i took from my external sd card and now im wondering if i can use thoes files on my current whatsapp on iphone x

Nope, this is unfortunately not possible. WhatsApp simply hasn’t made this possible.

with the iPhone X you can not use any external sd card. If you had sold your S8+, you would not transfer these whatsapp chat history to iPhone X.
