My battery deletes quickly when it reaches 40%. What can I do about it?

hey, recently i got used iphone 5 but only thing that disappointed me is the battery life, it drops quickly especially when i reach 40%

things i have tried:

reset the phone
calibrate the battery

i really need help

Unfortunately, it sounds like your battery may have just reached the end of its life. You may need to replace the battery. The best place to do that is the Apple store for around $80. I wouldn't trust any place that will do it for cheaper. You may not get an actual Apple battery and they won't guarantee their work. The Apple Store will give you an actual Apple battery and they'll guranatee their work.

The iPhone 5's almost 5 years old, the battery won't be what it was. If you like the phone you should replace it.

My 5 does worse. The battery is going out. Needs replacing. Or upgrade to a newer phone.
