Lost icons/apps???

Greetings...Here's some background first.
App which I think caused program is 'categories' which I got
from cydia and yes my phone is jailbroken.
After I installed 3.0 I noticed my camera & photos were missing from
my screen. Then searching further I noticed a lot of apps were.
But the thing that I noticed was they were all apps I used categories
to group them all together.
I've restored to previous dates, a few months back, got my camera back,
but photos missing in between times.
When I do a restore form more previous, I get apps but
nothing that I put into categories.
Now, I know the apps are on my phone because I see them loading and being
backed up...but I cannot find them.
If you're familiar with jailbreaking, categories, 3.0, and finding invisible apps that are there but you just can't get to them...please help.

Same problem here.

Everything put into Categories seems invisible after restoring, though they show in iTunes under "Applications" under my device.

Seems one should empty the Categories folders before doing Restore.

I found the solution to this. Posting this in case someone is in the same situation and needs it.

Solution: Go to Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable, Enter your passcode (make one up if using for the first time) then tap Disable.

All the "missing" applications showed for me with this simple step!

That solution also worked for me after loosing my jailbreak and going to 3.1. Thanks for the help!!
