itunes 11.1 not showing iphone 5 screen on iOS 7

itunes 11.1 is not showing iphone 5 screen on iOS 7 when plugged in. I have to sync apps then manually move them on the phone. rebooting phone or pc doesn't help. anyone else having this issue?
