Is it bad to leave my home screen on all day?

Leaving phone on "home screen".

I am a marine first responder and need to leave the home screen on 24/7 to monitor software for VHF communications. Is this bad for my phone?

I don't think anyone here ever experienced it in order to give you a concrete answer on if yes or not, doing so is bad for the phone. But guys at apple store should be able to give you a reliable answer about that.

My opinion is you should have no issues just a shorter device life but way past its usefulness

I have an HP Touchpad that sits on her charger with the screen turned on for over two years with no issues at all
