IPhone 5 ios 9.3.5 recently people can not hear me, I hear them fine.

I reset my phone it worked for a day or so and then same problem. I checked both mic's they 6 seem to be fine. I turned on hearing aid, I had read that back ground noise may cause it. Does anybody have any other guesses. It had worked fine for a year or so, it maybe an upgrade but I did notice other complaints that weren't recent.
