ipad GPS question

my ipad keeps showing "GPS signal not found" while I play pokemon go. I did not subscribe a service with my ipad but I m using the wifi. please let me know if I can bypass not having GPS to play the pokemon go. Thanks.

If you have a wifi only iPad, those do not have their own GPS receiver. You'd need to use an external GPS receiver device to provide the iPad GPS data via Bluetooth or thru the iPad's charging port.
