Re: iOS 11.3 Dev beta 1

Loaded on my test iPhone X device. Haven’t played with it much. Likely won’t load it on my daily driver X until a later beta.

Here’s a welcome edition for the music app. Tapping the now playing song brings up this menu.

Actually, there are issues. I will mention one that I have reported to appropriate devs, and Apple. If you are using Adguard Pro, ver 1.3.3, specifically, when the device is in full tunnel mode and when turning on wifi...the app will crash, restart, then soft brick the phone. This is on a 7+ model with Ios 11.3 and fresh install.

Also...when clearing recent calls, the phone app sometimes crashes at the last delete. Otherwise, 11.3 is as smooth a 1st beta can be. Kinda. To qualify myself, im an engineer/dev that jumped from Android to Ios. Lol!

I was hoping to see the option to turn off battery throttling in this beta? As well as getting battery health info. Guess not.

Apple had said February on that. Might of even been Tim Cook who said that. Can’t remember for sure.

Yeah, but 3rd-party apps crashing when used with an unofficial iOS release is not really an issue, per se. A forthcoming update to the app will probably fix the problem.

Make sure you have the whole card showing, not just minimized like that. Then you can tap the artist/song

I’ve tried that also. Doing that just brings me automatically into the album that is playing with the list of songs in that album. I don’t get the “go to artist” and “go to album” menu.

Edit: Fixed! Deleted the Music app and reinstalled it.

Edit 2: Actually only kind of fixed. The menu will pop up when I’m playing a song from a playlist with “go to playlist” and “go to album” as options, but if I just play a song from any random album, I get no menu when tapping the artist/album on the now playing card. I still get brought right into the album automatically. Oh well. It is a beta release after all.

There’s now an option to upload a screen recording to Facebook when you 3D Touch the screen recording icon in control center.

I get the extra option of “go to playlist” when I play the song from a playlist and from the Album section I get the two like in my screenshot. It’s not giving me any trouble.
