It’s just a shame that WhatsApp is affiliated to the great human data vacuum - AKA Fakebook - these days.
It’s funny to see that since acquiring WhatsApp in 2014, FB don’t know what to do with it, since all they’re really concerned about is making money:
- Introduce an annual charge - and watch millions jumping ship to one of the other free platforms.
- Link WhatsApp to people’s FB account? - bingo, FB now have your phone number too ... although they’re already in hot water with the European Union over that one.
- Introduce adverts - it’s only a matter of time folks.
Don’t believe the hype about WhatsApp messages being encrypted — FB wouldn’t have owned it all this time without milking the cow for some benefit.
