I'm trying to edit the values of a game I play, but when I open it in ifile the text is encoded. Any way I can decode this so I can actually read it?

What exactly are u trying to do? Hack the game?

I'm editing my saved game files. So yes I'm cheating but is only going to benefit me, victimless...

For the vast majority, yeah. Aside from manually saving your game files, we generally don't care for modification to paid content, including game rigging.
