If someone plugged in my unlocked iphone would I get an alert on my ipad or by email?

I have a suspicion that my contacts have been accessed (I may be wrong) but havent received any alerts at all from Apple.

Why would you get an alert if your phone was unplugged?

Test it for yourself. Unplug your phone while it is unlocked. Do you get an alert?
