How do I track how many text messages I have with people?

I want to be able to tell how many texts I have on my phone and broke out between each person and how many sent/ received. Any idea without jail breaking?

Nothing that I can think of, no. I never keep more than three or four texts for any length of time, so I've never needed to do this.

You might could keep tabs on SMS through your carrier. But not iMessage.

You can usually get a break down of text messages in a PDF format from your carrier, but these will not show imessages.

If you're trying to find phone numbers for messages sent that aren't on your phone (checking up on kids' or significant other) you can't. Your carrier no longer shows the phone numbers for texts, only the amount of texts sent overall. So good luck trying to bust your kid/husband/boyfriend.
