How do I put find my ipad into repair mode?

My ipad has gone in for repair but the repairer says I need to go into iCloud and disable find my ipad by putting it into repair mode. I cannot find repair mode there as an option. Which option should I choose?

There is no "repair mode"... just do the "Erase" option...

There is a diagnostic mode on the device but it has nothing to do with Find my Phone, you enter it with certain button presses on the device itself. I agree with the others go to a more qualified repair shop OR the Apple Store itself.
