How can I open an email attachment on my iPhone?

Email attachment in iPhone not opening

i got an email with attachment , I opened it , it was word file of 15 questions .. All I could see were numbers one below the other but not the questions . I opened it in Gmail app , mail app also opened in browser .. Everywhere I could see just those numbers . But when I opened it in my laptop I could see proper word document with 15questions

is it possible that on your laptop you have Word installed but not on your phone
