QI at all times. My 3 yr old 8+ (now my 'spare') still shows 93% battery health and also was very rarely cable-charged. Never fast charged or car-charged. Slow but sure.

I use a wireless charger all the time unless I need a charge while I am out. I carry a USB-PD power bank with me for that. The added strain that a fast charge adds to the battery a dozen times a year - if that often - is worth it to me to make sure I have a charge while I am out and most importantly when I am driving.
I came from Android. I bought a usbc to usbc connector. I plug one end of my old android charging cable into one end, I plug my shiny new usbc to lightning cable in the other end.
I charge overnight so speed doesn’t matter at all.
And if you ever have 'intermittant charging' ( other than what's associated with Battery Management) just give every surface at either end of all cables a quick spritz of contact cleaner and a good wipe.
If I need to charge up quickly, I'll use the charger that came with my 11 Pro last year. If I'm not in a hurry to charge my phone, I use either MagSafe charger or a Samsung wireless charger.
On my 12 Pro Max, I've been using the Anker 30w 2 Port Fast Charger with the Anker 6' Powerline+ lll USB-C to lightning cable. 18w for USB-C and 12w for USB. I use the 12w to charge my headphones. Not a fan of wireless charging.
I’m using a Belkin wireless charger overnight. If I need a charge during the day I’ll throw it on the wireless charger or 5w Apple charger and lightning cable.
